Simple Steps To Successful Internet Marketing

The Only Real Way To Prosper on the internet, is to have a successful internet marketing campaign.

This means that you must be able to figure what works and what does not work. The easiest way to figure this out is by following a few simple steps.

1. KNOW YOUR MARKET

You must identify your market, until you figure who you are trying to reach you will have limited success.

Try to focus your efforts on one thing at a time.

It also helps if you are a user or potential user of the product or service you're selling. For example, you'd have a natural insight into what your buyers want if you want the same things. You will automatically know where they hang out, what interests them, what are their buy triggers and how they'd prefer to be approached.

For this reason, it's wise to focus your business on something with which you are familiar.

2. STUDY THE COMPETITION

Once you target your market, you must now study them. Learn their behavior, talk like they talk, and most of all you must be able to get into their heads and THINK like THEY THINK.

A great place to visit when trying to find your niche and target market is http://Www.ConquerYourNiche.com

You will be able to find other business owners and create profitable relationships.
Not to mention you will also learn vast amounts about successful internet marketing

3. STICK WITH IT

Once you are in the game, keep playing.

Keep writing articles and blogs to generate traffic, keep building relationships with people, keep testing out different strategies. The Main reason why people fail is because they QUIT to early in the game.

Most of all, ALWAYS KEEP LEARNING, knowledge is power.

Almost everyone would like to work at home. Afterall, the ideal is universally appealing; sitting in your pajamas at a computer while the laundry spins and dinner bakes. Relinquishing your commute for a comfy chair and slippers is a wonderful thought. The reality, however, may not be as pretty. The question to ask before starting an online business is, Do you have what it takes to be successful in online marketing?

First, you must have something to market that is high quality and that you can get behind. Does your product make you proud? Does the thought of getting the word out energize you? If you're product isn't something you can be proud to put your name on, don't. Marketing is much easier if you are selling something you believe in. Your passion will show.

You'll need some resources to start your business. Don't be fooled into thinking that you can start up a business overnight with absolutely no investment. Free programs are usually worth what you pay for them! You will need money to set up your computer equipment and promote your products. Most businesses don't show results, or profits, right away, so plan on putting out some cash until you get through the start up phase.

Perhaps the most important key to your success on the internet is your reputation. Providing quality products and services, great customer service and a personalized touch goes a long way towards building repeat internet business. Make sure that all of your actions focus on building a great online presence. Make each and every correspondence with your customers professional and business-like. Even if in the short run you have to take a few small losses to keep customers happy, keep focused on the long term goal of building a trustworthy reputation. The investment will be worth it in the long run.

Finally, perseverance and dedication are the final traits that you'll need to succeed in online marketing. Don't be afraid to fail and start over. An old teacher of mine once said, marketing is an art, not a science. You'd never see Michelangelo just making one brush stroke and being satisfied, would you? Keep working until your business is just the way you want. You have to be persistant and never give up, it may take a lot of time but eventually you will get there. Then you can stand back and admire your handiwork!

Happy Halloween to Everyone!

Last night (after a VERY long day writing my "One Time Offers" in readiness for my "Internet Marketing Success Academy" launch) I decided to put my feet up with a nice-big glass of red wine in front of the TV.

Now don't get the wrong idea here - I'm not usually prone to watching much TV. Fact is I think so much TV these days is just not good for you. Especially the news, which seems to be nothing more than opportunity to watch the most depressing show in town. Seriously, in my opinion the "news" should could with a government health warning!

Anyway - here I was, TV remote in one hand and a glass of red in the other sat in "dad's chair in front of the 54″ TV and Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares come on. Rather apt given that it's Halloween.

The show is based on Gordon going in to "failing" restaurants and basically turning them around. Last night he was in a "Fish Restaurant" in Brighton UK. Without going in to too much detail here, lets just say this place was a disaster and was literally costing the owner his home. Their takings were sometimes as low as 3.38 ($6.76) for a FULL days work...The place was losing 1,000 ($2,000) every single week.

The over-whelming thing that came through (once again) as Gordon tried to help the owner was that the owner didn't want to take Gordon's advice...

Strange when you consider that Gordon is widely recognised as one of the best chefs in the world and has been INVITED in to give his advice!

One of the first things Gordon did (after he'd seen what they were serving) was to go out in to Brighton and ASK what people actually thought about the restaurant.

  1. Why didn't they like it?
  2. What would make them come and use it?

Armed with the "Prospects" answers he took his advice and laid out a plan for the owner to follow. Strangely enough, the biggest resistance to change the owner had, was to change the decor inside.

He actually loved the way he had "done his place out". I mean "what the 'f' does 'effin' Gordon Ramsey know..."

Well actually he knew that the prospects & customers "hated" the decor of the place. By the way it wasn't to my taste either BUT it wasn't that bad. However...

The point is WITHOUT asking the prospects he would have never have known that the dcor was putting people off. As were the prices...As was the menu....

This is exactly what we marketers mean when we say things like, "you must know/research your market..." - "find a hungry crowd..." (no pun intended!)

The restaurant is now a HUGE success. The amazing thing is, Gordon maybe one of the worlds top chefs but he didn't do anything special to the food. He didn't give the chefs a master class in cooking...

He simply put his "Business" head on and asked his prospects what they wanted and then gave it to them. Plain & Simple.

I have to tell you, it was some of the most compelling TV I've seen in a long time. Hats off to Mr Ramsey!

Can you apply this to your business? Would you like or need a Gordon Ramsey type person to come in and sort your Internet Business out?

Whenever a bloodlike stain is found at the scene of a crime, the forensic scientist must conduct two basic kinds of tests: presumptive and confirmatory. The reason presumptive tests are conducted first is because they are more cost-efficient than the more cumbersome confirmatory tests.

What is a presumptive test?

Presumptive tests for blood can be found in two broad categories: those that change color, and those that cause a glowing reaction.

Presumptive tests that depend on a color change involve the following:

  • Leucomalachite green (LMG) color test: This chemical reagent has been around since the early part of the 20th century and undergoes a chemical interaction with blood, yielding a characteristic green color.

  • Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) color test: At a crime scene, a CSI technician swabs a suspected bloodstain with a moistened Q-tip and then applies it to a Hemastix strip containing TMB. A Hemastix strip is a dip stick used to test for the presence of blood. If the Hemastix strip turns blue-green, it might be blood.

  • Kastle-Meyer color test: Phenolphthalein is the active chemical reagent in this particular test. When blood, hydrogen peroxide, and phenolphthalein are mixed together, a dark pink color results. This color change is due to the hemoglobin (the oxygen-containing molecule within red blood cells) causing a chemical reaction between hydrogen peroxide and phenolphthalein.

Other tests depend on chemical reactions that cause blood to fluoresce, or glow, under an ultraviolet light source, uncovering blood that is invisible to the naked eye. Offenders many times try to scrub walls and floors clean, mistakenly taking for granted that if blood is not visible, it can not be found. Fortunately, that is not the case. At the scene of a crime, blood can show up by spraying a fluorescent chemical over the area suspected of containing blood. The lights are dimmed, and ultraviolet light is passed over the area, causing bloodstains to fluoresce in the dark just like you see on CSI. Not only is the presence of blood established, but the area of blood distribution is also clearly indicated. This is where blood spurts, drag marks, spatter, footprints, and handprints show up.

The actors you see on CSI use fluorescent chemicals to get the blood to reveal itself. The most common fluorescent chemicals used are luminol and fluorescein.

  • Luminol--Luminol is highly sensitive and may reveal blood that is present in minute quantities. Luminol is able to expose blood in places that have been cleaned repeatedly unless a solvent such as bleach was used, and even on walls that have been painted to hide blood. In spite of the fact that it can negatively impact some serologic testing processes, luminol does not affect subsequent blood typing or DNA analysis.

  • Fluorescein--Fluorescein has been around since the early part of the 20th century. This compound does not interact with bleach the way luminol does. Fluorescein is better used over luminol for exposing bloodstains that have been cleaned up using solvents such as bleach. Fluorescein is advantageous in that it is thicker than luminol and drips less, therefore, sticks to vertical surfaces much better than luminol.

What is a confirmatory test?

Teichmann and Takayama tests are the most commonly used confirmatory tests. Both tests depend on a chemical reaction between a reagent and hemoglobin. This reaction yields crystals, which then can be seen under a microscope. A considerable benefit of these tests is that they are more effective with aged stains.

The next time you watch your favorite forensic science/detective show like NCIS or CSI, you will have a clearer understanding of the chemicals used in exposing blood at a crime scene.

A fatal mugging occurred recently in a park in Parma, Ohio by a convicted felon. Parma is one of the safest neighborhoods in the Cleveland area but that doesn't matter anymore. The 52 year old woman victim was violently attacked with a 15 pound rock while walking her dog.

The sad part is is the alleged attacker is a convicted felon who was arrested 36 times in the past two decades and served time in eight state prisons on charges of burglary, attempted kidnapping, theft, robbery, possession of cocaine and possession of criminal tools The attack came just 10 days after the alleged attacker was released from a two-year prison sentence for robbery, his fifth conviction for the crime.

Since he was a crack addict, you think there would be a followup after he was released. Someone should have been checking on him if he didn't show up for his parole officer. It raises questions how the justice system let a dangerous man be free after a string of earlier violent offenses.

The criminals seem to get all the consideration by our legal system. No thought seems to be what the criminal will do after he is released.

In the media all you read is how a taser killed a criminal being arrested. These are criminals with a "rap" sheet longer than your arm. The families of the criminals are suing the Police Department and the city and many people are holding "vigils" for them. OUR PRIORITIES are all screwed up.

No wonder people are packing stun guns, pepper spray and personal alarms when they go outside. I don't blame them if they are packing "heat" although I am a strong supporter of gun control. I do recommend that they, especially women, take a Martial Arts class. It could save your life.

We need to put pressure on our prosecutors and judges. The people responsible for letting this criminal go unattended and giving him a slap in the wrist need to be accountable. Let's let them know with our letters and by not voting them in.

We hope that this death will sparkle various discussions about how violent offenders are handled by the courts., A cause like Mothers Against Drunk Driving is needed for this issue. "Where is the Mothers Against Repeat Felons.

We need to take action. I know this same thing is happening in your area. Let's make the legal system accountable for our victims.

As the job market becomes more and more unreliable, people are realizing that working independently from their own homes has a lot to offer. If you've ever looked for a job that will let you stay at home, or looked around for a job that will add a bit of cash to your pocket, there's a good chance that you've already run along listing for home typing jobs. Home typing jobs offer a great deal of money and benefits for a relatively small investment in time and energy and many people get drawn in. What are home typing jobs really offering, though, and can you make enough on them to pay your bills?

The first thing that you need to be aware of is that home typing jobs are almost always tied into affiliate marketing schemes. As with most things that sound too good to be true, this one usually is! Essentially, home typing jobs are seldom ones where you are simply given a list of things to type and are subsequently paid for it. You will be require to type ads that you then post on sites like Craigslist and Facebook, luring people back to different sites and promotions. With home typing jobs, you are not paid by the hour the way that most workers are, or by the word, the way most writers are. In fact, there is a good chance that you won't get paid at all unless the ad that you type is a wildly successful one.

You'll find that many home typing jobs start you out by saying that they offer a fifty dollar signing bonus, or even more. If you read the fine print, you'll find that typically, these amounts don't get paid out until you have reached a certain amount in terms of sales or business. The higher the signing bonus, the greater the chance that no one ever received it!

When you are thinking about making your money off of home typing jobs, one of the things that you can do is investigate the opportunity that is front of you. How many people actually get the signing bonus? What are the chances that you will stick with it long enough to collect. Are there many testimonials regarding the site that you are signing up with? Home typing jobs are very common, and if you are interested in affiliate marketing, this is a good way to get your feet wet and figure out what it is all about. This is not something that you can make a lot of money off of, though, so don't quit your day job for it!

Have you been mulling over whether or not you should start an online business lately? Well if you are, let me ease your burden by saying that there is absolutely no harm in starting an Internet business. In fact, this is the best way in which you can monetize your time and effort. Get into an online opportunity by all means. The profits will come too. But, how justified am I in saying this? Are Internet businesses for everyone? Okay, for all the skeptics out there, let me give you three reasons why you should enter into an online business as soon as you can.

Reason # 1 - They are the best value for your time.

When you are establishing your business on the Internet, you will quickly find that the returns that you get are directly proportional to the time that you are putting into the business. Of course, there are no fixed working hours for you; an Internet venture is not like those 9 to 5 jobs that suck. You are free to work your own hours. But, you will be able to garner so much interest in the whole thing that soon you will want to work every hour of your leisure time. There's no room for complaint, though. Your work is very easily translatable into money. You will actually see the money rolling in, compensating for each hour you work. As you get experienced, this quantum of money will only grow more and more. Now, what more impetus do you want?

Reason # 2 - You can promote them with a very small monetary installment.

Like all other businesses, your business on the Internet needs to be promoted too. In fact, it is right to say that your Internet-based business will want much more promotion than the traditional brick and mortar businesses need. But that is because you have to see only over the Internet. That is not a problem, though. The Internet itself provides you with all the promotional tools you require. Some of the best ones are article marketing, email marketing and blogging.

How much money do you think you will require for all these things? If you want, you can do them within ZERO dollars. And I am not kidding you! Some of the best article directories in the world are free. You can put in articles promoting your business and they will not mind it because they add to their content. Email marketing is absolutely free too, but it can prove to be very time consuming because you will have to first find a list to post your emails too, you will have to frame the email itself, and then send it to people.

Blogs and forums are great for promoting your online business to targeted customers. This makes the customer feel they are 'in the flow' and gives you a chance to interact with them. But the best thing is that they are free.

Reason # 3 - You have all the professionals you need ready at hand.

In traditional businesses, you will literally need to run from pillar to post to get everyone you need. But on the Internet, it is a totally different ballgame. You can easily find whom you want from the freelance job sites and get their services. You can fish both for good quality and also low prices.
